Quakers Reward Terror, Call for Direct Talks with Hamas
I just received the following from the Friends Committee for National Legislation. They oppose military aid to Israel but in the same paragraph, they call for talks with Hamas. It seems that the Quaker group has conflated pacifism with radical politics without understanding that they really aren't the same thing. Hamas, by the way, has yet to embrace pacifism.
"The United States can help save both Israeli and Palestinian lives by speaking out in support of a lasting ceasefire, lifting the blockade on Gaza, end U.S. military aid to Israel and hold all sides accountable for human rights violations , and engage with all Palestinian factions (including Hamas)."
